Dee Thomas - Director Dee
A Director of 4YPUK since its creation in 2011, Dee has a wealth of experience in Business/Project Management, Careers Personal Guidance, the development of Careers Related Learning programmes in schools, and strategic Project Management of Youth related Programmes. A Qualified Level6 Careers Practitioner, Assessor and IQA. Dee also completed a number of post graduate qualifications including the Diploma in Connexions which focussed on intensive techniques and tools for working with young people with complex needs.
Prior to 2011, Dee managed an Integrated Youth Support team of Personal Advisers, Youth Workers and Volunteers delivering a range of services to young people through Upper, Middle and Specialist Schools and Community drop-ins, plus a vibrant Youth Centre. Dee has worked closely with local Town Councils and a wide range of locality partners, setting up and chairing the local Integrated Youth Forum, which developed a local Children’s and Young Peoples Plan. Dee also worked closely with both Vandyke Upper School and Gilbert Inglefield Middle School in their achievement to be the first schools in County to hold the Investors in Careers Award.

Prior to 2002, Dee worked for a number of blue chip organisations such as BT, Prudential and The Open University, in business development and management roles, focussing on sales, training and marketing activities.

Gill Boydell - Director GillBoydell
As Director of 4yp for the last 11 years Gill is responsible for HR, Quality Assurance and tender applications.  Gill has a wealth of experience working as an Education Personal Adviser providing one-2-one careers advice, group work and intensive work with students in school, and as a Community Adviser setting up projects for young people and working closely with vulnerable youngsters, their parents and partners in the community.

In addition to her Careers Advice and Careers Education qualifications Gill has qualifications in supporting young people, Counselling, NLP, Youth Coaching and Assessing.

Rose Birmingham - IAG Manager

RoseBIRMINGHAMQualified to Level 6 in Career Guidance and Development, Rose has a holistic approach to careers advice and guidance and helps young people explore their situation, look for opportunities, and plan for their future, with experience working in schools and in the community. 

Rose is a qualified assessor and is able to deliver and assess career qualifications up to Level 6.

Prior to joining 4YP, Rose worked in a College of Further Education within Student Services where she offered young people information, advice and guidance on a wide range of concerns including health concerns, financial anxieties, relationship problems, learning difficulties, career advice and also situations of crisis such as homelessness, and welfare issues.  Rose also has experience working with parents and special educational needs and has qualifications in teaching and counselling.

Wendy Millgate - Project Manager Youth WorkWendyMillgate

Wendy has many years experience of working with young people in Youth Work and school settings and currently manages all our Youth Work projects and provision. She is also very successful at designing, securing funding, setting up and running projects that young people ask for.

 

 

Ashleigh Serevena - Lead Youth Worker

JNC Qualified Youth worker with a Masters in Youth and Community work and a degree in Psychology, Ashleigh has 10 years experience working with young people aged 5-19 years in various settings. Ashleigh has worked for 4YP on a variety of contracts delivering targeted youth work, school group work projects, 1:1 intensive support and open access youth provision. Ashleigh has also previously worked as a Young Carers Support Worker specifically supporting young people whose parents have a mental health condition, working closely with both young people and their families Ashleighas well as working alongside adult services.
